Clinton Penny

Clinton Penny is a fourth-generation Boilermaker who joined Local 11 (Helena, Montana) on the tools a day after completing high school. He follows in the footsteps of his father, grandfather and his maternal great-grandfather. He started in refineries, and he worked at Montana’s Colstrip Steam Electric Station for a few years, among other jobs.

Prior to his election as IST, Penny was L-11 Business Manager/Secretary-Treasurer. He served his local lodge in that role for three consecutive terms. He has served as President of the Montana State Building Trades since 2021. The International Executive Council elected Penny as International Secretary-Treasurer Aug. 26, 2024.
