Carlos Brooks is a Southeast organizer with the M.O.R.E. Work Investment Fund. He has a strong background in union leadership and workforce advocacy. As a Southeast organizer, he is committed to helping employees organize unions, grow membership and strengthen worker representation across various industries. Brooks began his career at Cemex in Clinchfield, Georgia, where he worked as an electrical instrumentation technician for eight years before serving as the union president of Local D23 for nine years. During his tenure, he achieved a 99-100% union membership rate in a right-to-work state and played a pivotal role in workforce development. Partnering with upper management at Cemex, he helped create and enhance training opportunities for technical jobs, enabling employees to earn an industrial systems degree at Central Georgia Technical College. He also served as the LEAP Committee member, safety chairman and training committee chairman, demonstrating his commitment to worker safety and professional growth.
