
Technical Leader II
EPRI
Pat Becker is a Technical Leader in the Materials program within EPRI’s Generation Sector in Charlotte, North Carolina. Her responsibilities include cross-sector Codes & Standards support, education, training and committee participation to align industry needs with EPRI membership. She serves on ASME BPVC Section I & II, ASTM and NBIC committees, representing EPRI and broader industry interests. Previously, Becker spent 17 years as a Pressure Vessel Designer, SME and Quality Control Specialist at Babcock & Wilcox and 25 years as a patternmaker/mold designer in the steel sand casting industry. This background provides a strong foundation in material use, design and code implementation for boiler pressure vessel equipment.
Becker has authored new and revised code rules published in ASME BPVC Sections I, II, and VII, NBIC Part 3 and EPRI publications on codes, standards and regulations for pressure equipment safety. She previously served on the advisory board to the National Board of Boiler Inspectors’ Board of Trustees, representing boiler manufacturers. She holds an associate degree in design engineering technology from Stark State College of Technology in Ohio.
