Jason McInnis is a member of Local 73 (St. John, New Brunswick) and serves as the Boilermakers’ Director – Canadian Health & Safety Services. With over 29 years of experience, he has been dedicated to identifying, evaluating, and mitigating worksite health and safety risks to protect Boilermakers. McInnis also serves as an advocate for worker protection, representing Boilermakers on various technical and advisory committees to improve occupational health and safety (OH&S) regulations, standards, and best practices.
McInnis is an alumnus of the Harvard Trade Union Program and holds dual Bachelor degrees in biology and public health, as well as a Master's degree in occupational hygiene. McInnis holds several professional certifications, including Registered Occupational Hygienist, Canadian Registered Safety Professional, Radiation Safety Officer, and Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health.
