Blair Allin is a Canadian National Health and Safety Representative. He started his Boilermaker apprenticeship in 1981 and is a 43-year member of Local 128. He was mentored as a union steward, where he developed a skill set in safety and safe work practices. The journey led to a health and safety instructor’s position for 18 years with Local 128. In 2018 he took on his current role as a national representative. Allin graduated from the Harvard Trade Union Program in the spring of 2019. Canada’s Mental Health program delivery entered full swing in 2020 and has become a primary function. Additionally, Allin sits on health and safety-related committees throughout the country including the Prevention Council for the Ontario Ministry of Labour and the Board of Directors at the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association.
