Blair Allin

Canadian Health and Safety Representative

International Brotherhood of Boilermakers

Blair Allin is a Canadian National Health and Safety Representative. He started his Boilermaker apprenticeship in 1981 and is a 43-year member of Local 128. He was mentored as a union steward, where he developed a skill set in safety and safe work practices. The journey led to a health and safety instructor’s position for 18 years with Local 128. In 2018 he took on his current role as a national representative. Allin graduated from the Harvard Trade Union Program in the spring of 2019. Canada’s Mental Health program delivery entered full swing in 2020 and has become a primary function. Additionally, Allin sits on health and safety related committees throughout the country, including the Prevention Council for the Ontario Ministry of Labour and the Board of Directors at the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association.
