Manuel Valenzuela

Manny Valenzuela is the Western States Director of Organizing through the M.O.R.E. Work Investment Fund. He’s a veteran union organizer with over 40 years of experience, leading campaigns that have brought more than 200,000 workers into the labor movement across industries like skilled trades, warehousing, trucking, sanitation, aviation and more.

He began as a rank-and-file Teamster in an intermodal rail yard, later becoming a shop steward and organizer. He rose through the ranks, serving as Organizing Director for Teamsters Joint Council 42 and later as Western Organizing Director for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, where he helped build a strong organizing department. Now with the Boilermakers, he focuses on developing organizing capacity and running key campaigns.
